Nisela consultancy services are directed at improving delivery of children’s services through evidence and expert advice. We help our clients integrate sustainability considerations into the heart of their decisions and strategies to create long term impact. Likewise, we provide management and implementation for child focused programs and projects. Nisela also works to ensure that stakeholders are delivering in line with the existing legislative framework and best practices. Further, we provide consultancies in research, capacity building and advocacy as seen below.

Research and development is at the heart of Nisela. We are passionate about research that informs policy and practices and addresses gaps. We stimulate research findings to improve practices and interventions. The scope of our research services spans from developing tools, conducting assessments, analysis or baselines to the collection and analysis of data and report writing. Nisela also engages in review and evaluation of projects, programs and other interventions.

Nisela Group strengthens skills, competencies and abilities individual, communities, institutions and organizations. We improve effectiveness and efficiency by providing the right tools and resources for our clients to best carry out their mission. This is a process that is contextual, collective and continuous. The capacity building is contextual in that all interventions are tailored to meet the needs and unique characteristics of each organization. That is, we do not believe that one size fits all. It includes all levels of human resource in an organization making it collective. Likewise, we understand that transformation does not happen within a short timeframe.  Nisela seeks partnership with organizations to ensure sustainability of the capacity that has been built.

Nisela is unapologetically determined to advocate for innovative, sustainable and best practices towards optimal development of children and young people. Our advocacy work is targeted at raising awareness of the plight of children, educate stakeholders on the legislative framework concerning children and encourage partnerships and collaborations of stakeholders in the children’s sector. All advocacy activities are non-partisan and are for the best interest of the child. We create platforms where children’s voices can be heard and when appropriate, we present their views. Of priority is to ensure that children are protected from abuse and exploitation and that the impact of inequalities is reduced for vulnerable children.

Mental Illness is often an ignored, stigmatized, underfunded, and lacks adequate legislature and policies particularly in Sub-sahara Africa. Nisela Group is intentional about addressing mental health needs of individuals, communities, and organizations. We provide culturally sensitive and sustainable mental health care and psychosocial support to vulnerable populations. Nisela fearlessly confronts stigma associated with mental illness (for the victims and their families) and strive to provide social inclusion for persons with mental illness. In an age where violence, conflict, and terrorism are rampant, we provide psychosocial support to victims and survivors giving them skills for recovery and fostering resilience. We also offer integration of psychosocial support (PSS) into basic services such as housing, food, water, security, and medical care.

Parenting is a wonderful experience. Nothing comes close to those special moments you share with your child, be it the first step, first word, the first time you take him/her to school. On the other hand, parenting is not a walk in the park. There are times you wonder whether you’re being a good parent, or are at a loss as to what to do in certain situations. There is no such thing as a perfect parent or perfect child. Nisela Group provides parents with tools and supports they require to help their children achieve their fullest potential.  We facilitate effective, involved, and intentional parenting. We provide an interactive platform for parents to share their individual experiences, achievements and challenges while engaging experts with practical experience in raising well-rounded children.

The Child and Family Therapy Clinic (CFT) provides mental health services to children, adolescents, and families exhibiting a wide range of socio-emotional and behavioral difficulties.  The Clinic is dedicated to supporting and equipping parents and children to face the challenges of life from a holistic perspective.
